Michael Gray, the great, great, great nephew of Lucy Craft Laney, at Washington Avenue Presbyterian Church on Tuesday with a Hall of Fame plaque from Lucy Craft Laney High School in Augusta. The Lucy Craft Laney Museum is the only African-American museum in the Central Savannah River Area. Lucy Laney is buried on the grounds of the school that now bears her name, on a major Augusta boulevard that also bears her name.
